Viewing Course Analytics

Step 1

On the course homepage, click the Analytics tab.

Step 2

The first part of the course data analytics is a high-level course overview in 8 categories:

  • Members: Provides information about the course members.
  • Announcements: Displays data related to course announcements.
  • Courseware: Shows data related to the courseware content.
  • Resources: Provides information about the course resources.
  • Assignments: Displays data related to course assignments.
  • Discussions: Shows data related to course discussions.
  • Classroom: Provides information about classroom activities.
  • Exams: Displays data related to course exams.

Step 3

The second part of the course data analytics is the top 5 ranking of:

  • Videos: Shows the top 5 videos based on engagement or other metrics.
  • Resources: Displays the top 5 resources accessed or utilized by students.
  • Discussions: Shows the top 5 discussions based on engagement or other metrics.

Step 4

The third part of the course data analytics is module-by-module courseware learning data, including:

  • Average Completion Rate: Shows the average rate at which students complete each module.
  • Average Learning Time: Provides information about the average time spent by students on each module.

Step 5

The fourth part of the course data analytics is the classroom-related activity data in 4 categories:

  • Roll Call: Provides information about attendance or participation in roll call activities.
  • Poll: Displays data related to polls conducted in the classroom.
  • Quick Answer (Compete to Answer): Shows data related to quick answer activities where students compete to answer questions.
  • Pick Student (Random Pick): Provides information about activities where students are randomly selected.

Step 6

The last part of the course data analytics is the statistical data of teaching-related actions performed by the course teachers. The data provided are straightforward and self-explanatory, giving insights into the actions taken by the teachers in the course.
