Student Facial Photo Verification
You can enable the student facial photo verification feature for a exam. After it is enabled, the students have to pass face verification to start the exam. To use this feature, the students’ facial photos have to be uploaded and verified before the exam. The photos can be uploaded either by you or the students themselves.
Step 1: Access the Student Facial Photo Verification
- On the Exam Management screen, click the "Student facial photo verification" link.
Step 2: Managing Student Facial Photos
- Student facial photos are classified into four categories: Accepted, To Be Verified, Rejected, and Not Uploaded [1]. Clicking each category will show the photos of that category only.
- You can upload photos in batch [2], one by one [3], or replace an existing one [4].
- Click the "Enable/Disable" button to include or exclude a student [5].
Step 3: Batch Importing Photos

To upload photos in batch, click the "Batch Import Photos" button [2].

Read the instructions carefully on the Batch Import Student Facial Photos screen, including the width x height of the photo, naming rules, and the need to zip all student facial photos into a .zip file.

Click the "Upload" button and follow the prompts to upload the file.
Step 4: Uploading Individual Photos
- To upload a photo for a student whose photo is not yet uploaded, click that student. Click the "Batch Import Photos" button [3] and follow the prompts to upload the file.
Step 5: Replacing Existing Photos

To replace an existing photo for a student (categorized as Accepted, To Be Verified, or Rejected), click that student [4].

Click the "Upload New Photo" button and follow the prompt to upload the new photo.
Step 6: Reviewing and Verifying Photos
- The photo uploaded by the student will be labeled as "To Be Verified" by default.
- To review and verify the facial photo for a student, click that student.

Click the "Accept" button [1] to pass the verification (status changes to Accepted).

To replace the facial photo with a new one, click the "Upload New Photo" button.

To reject the verification, click the "Reject" button.

Enter the reasons for rejection and click the "Confirm" button (status changes to Rejected).
Step 7: Updating Uploaded Photos

The photo uploaded by you will automatically pass the review and be labeled as Accepted by default.

To make any updates, click that student.

Click the "Re-verify" button to change the status to To Be Verified.

To make an update, click the appropriate button [2] (Reject, Accept, Upload New Photo).
Step 8: Performing Batch Actions
- To perform batch actions, click the "Batch Actions" button.

To verify photos in batch, select the students you want to process [1] [2], and click the "Batch Verify Photos" button.

To remove photos in batch, select the students you want to process [1] [2] [3] [4], and click the "Batch Remove Photos" button.
To save a copy of the photo verification report for this exam, click the "Export Photo Verification" button.
By following these steps, you can enable and manage the student facial photo verification feature in ULearning. You can upload photos, review and verify them, make updates, and perform batch actions as needed. This feature ensures that students pass face verification before starting the exam, adding an extra layer of security and authenticity to the exam process.
